The St. Vincent De Paul ministry is once again asking for donations of food, food gift cards, cash or Easter baskets to support Catholic Social Service programs. Please pick an egg from the basket in the narthex.

St. Catherine of Siena Parish is once again collecting used shoes. In cooperation with the Christian Help Center/Reynaissance Family Center, the homeless in Vallejo and the needy in Africa will benefit from your used shoes.
CHILDREN, MEN AND WOMEN USED SHOES WANTED!
Bring your used shoes: tennis shoes, leather shoes, dress shoes, sandals, boots, etc…. Drop off at the front entrance of St. Catherine’s Church in Vallejo by 6:45 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010. For more information contact Janet Brandon at 647-4445.

A Christmas Outreach Concert

The annual “Joy of Giving” Christmas outreach concert brings cheer and honors the homeless, the elderly, the poor and the physically challenged. You are invited to share and participate in this Christmas fellowship.
Share this news with your home care provider friends and tell them to bring their clients to the church at 11:30 am for the traditional photo shoot with Santa. More information, please call Gene Leoncio at 554-0264.

Pope Benedict XVI has declared a “Year for Priests” beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 19, 2009. The year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010.
With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars.

The internationally acclaimed University of Santo Tomas Singers is the University’s premiere mixed choral ensemble composed of a select group of students and alumni representing the different colleges and faculties of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas – the oldest university in Asia.
