Being Eucharist is what we are called to be, not just to receive or to get. Like the Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ, we are called to be blest, broken and shared “for the life of the worldü to serve God through others. We become what we partake.” Our lives being blessed by our communion with God through Christ, with Christ, in Christ must be living sacraments of God’s love and grace and mercy. Our lives like the Blood of Christ must be poured out in loving service of others especially the poor. We, the Church, the people of God, the Sons and Daughters of God are the Body of Christ. We exist to continue the mission of Christ to proclaim the Good News of God’s love. That is the essence of our existence or why we exist or live.
